“During the raid, Mohsin Baig and his son and slaves directly shot at the FIA team and took two officers hostage,” according to the press announcement. According to the FIA, a FIR was filed against Baig in Lahore by Murad Saeed under Sections 20 (offences against the dignity of a natural person), 21-D (offences against the modesty of a natural person and minor), and 24 (cyber stalking) of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, read with Sections 500 (defaming army officers) and 555 (statement conducing to public mischief) of the Pakistan Penal Code

Before detaining Mohsin Baig, the FIA’s senior wing stormed his residence, prompting the senior journalist and his colleagues to seek an arrest warrant, which the FIA team failed to produce.
