Ukrainian military airbases and air defence systems, according to the defence ministry, have been neutralised.

Many allegations of bombings, explosions, and Russian military vehicles entering Ukraine from various locations of the Russian border have surfaced in a single night. This invasion in Ukraine has frightened Ukraine’s president, and this has been highlighted for months, if not years. The president has received media attention on various occasions over his tenure, including when he gave orders for forces to invade two pro-Russian separatist territories in eastern Ukraine.
Western officials and commentators mocked Putin’s claims that “Russian forces sent into the regions will operate as “peacekeepers,” and said that the latest operation could be a prelude to a broader invasion of Ukraine. Given the ongoing conflict in the Donbas between separatists backed by Russia and Ukrainian military, political observers have predicted that Russia could make a move at any moment.
Nonetheless, the president is now prepared to take additional measures, which will be broader in scope than previously anticipated.
On Thursday morning, the Kremlin released a statement in which Putin stated that the duration of military operations would be determined “depending on their progress and objectives.”
“Ukraine must be liberated,” said Dmitry Peskov, Putin’s spokesman, “but nobody is talking about the occupation of the people of Ukraine.”
Nearly 1,700 people have been detained as a result of the protesters’ stress. Russia had also massed tens of thousands of troops near the Ukrainian border, an exaggeration that might be the tipping point in the continent’s greatest military conflict in decades.
