Glenn Maxwell, an Australian cricketer, has claimed that after his wedding invitation was leaked online, he will have to beef up security.
On March 27, Maxwell will marry Vini Raman, who is of Indian origin, in a traditional Hindu wedding that will last a week. In Melbourne, the wedding will be held in front of 350 of his closest friends and will be accompanied by increased security.
He has stated that he would miss the Pakistan trip as well as the commencement of the Indian Premier League (IPL), for which he is in contention to lead Royal Challengers Bangalore.
An ex-IPL teammate contacted the cricketer, alleging he received numerous copies of the wedding invitation printed in Tamil. Kasturi Shankar, an Indian actress, posted the wedding invitation on social media.
The news that Maxwell is marrying an Indian woman has sparked great interest among Melbourne’s Tamil population. Maxwell confessed that their wedding day will be a little more hectic now that the Tamil-speaking community in Melbourne knew the time and location.
“I had a bit of a scary day the other day,” Maxwell said to a sports network. “I received a photo from one of my former IPL colleagues whom I hadn’t seen in a few years, and he had received the Tamil wedding invitation from a large number of people.”
“Unfortunately, that was becoming viral on the internet. I believe we will need to beef up security for our Hindu wedding. Go online and look for it. It may be found all throughout. Look up Maxwell’s wedding; you’ll find it someplace.”
