Shilpa Shetty was born on 8 June 1975, also known as Shilpa Shetty Kundra, an actress, businesswoman, producer, model and Indian writer. She is the winner of the British reality TV series Celebrity Big Brother 5. Known primarily for her work in Hindi films, she has also appeared in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films. One of the most popular actresses in Indian cinema, Shilpa Shetty is the recipient of numerous awards, including four Film Film Award nominations.
In addition to film, Shetty is a theater performer and has contributed as an author to two books: nutrition guides. She is a prominent celebrity fan for brands and products and speaks out on issues such as feminism and animal rights. She played the celebrity role in the Bigg Boss 2 reality show in 2008 and was a talent judge for reality shows Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Nach Baliye and Super Dancer. She was co-owner of the Indian Premier League cricket team, Rajasthan Royals, and became a film producer with the action movie Dishkiyaaoon. Shetty married businessman Raj Kundra in 2009, with whom she has a son.
Shilpa Shetty was born in Mangalore, Karnataka. His father, Surendra, and his mother, Sunanda, are both manufacturers of tamper-evident closures for the pharmaceutical industry. In Mumbai, Shetty attended St. Anthony Girls High School in Chembur, Mumbai, and then attended Podar College in Matunga. A trained Bharatanatyam dancer, she was also captain of the school volleyball team.
In 1991, after completing her Grade 10 exams, Shetty began her career as a model with a television commercial in Limca and subsequently participated in several other commercials and commercials, after which she began to receive offers from roles. Shetty continued to pursue her modeling career until she became an actress.
Having worked with Akshay Kumar in Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994), Shetty started dating him on the set of Insaaf (1997), who recently broke with actress Raveena Tandon. In February 2009, Shetty became engaged with Raj Kundra, with whom she co-owned the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket team Rajasthan Royals. The two were married on November 22, 2009. The couple has a son born in May 2012 and named him Viaan Raj Kundra.
