Biography of Asma Shirazi
Asma Shirazi, a political analyst and female journalist from Pakistan, is well-liked by the general public. According to her biography, Asma Shirazi earned a postgraduate degree in political science from Punjab University. She began her career as a radio announcer at Radio Pakistan. She joined Geo News in 2001, and after covering the 2006 Lebanon War, she became Pakistan’s first female war journalist in 2006.
In addition, Asma Shirazi is the first Pakistani journalist to get the Peter Mackler Award for Courageous and Ethical Journalism. She did, however, win the prize in October 2014, which is granted yearly to a journalist who has demonstrated a dedication to balanced reporting.
