The Mumbai Police arrested Vikas Fhatak, also known as ‘Hindustani Bhau.’

An FIR has been filed against YouTuber and Bigg Boss 13 star Vikas Fhatak under numerous sections of the IPC (including rioting), the Maharashtra Police Act, the Disaster Management Act, and the Maharashtra Prevention of Defacement of Property Act.

Vikas Fhatak, commonly known as ‘Hindustani Bhau,’ a YouTuber and Bigg Boss 13 contestant, was detained by Mumbai Police on Monday (January 31) in connection with a student protest in Dharavi on Monday (January 31) over their demand for online examinations for classes 10 and 12 in light of the epidemic. An FIR was filed against him and those engaged in the event. According to reports, the kids took to the streets after watching a video by Fhatak in which he expressed worry over the issue of offline tests for Classes 10 and 12.

Students recently demonstrated in Mumbai and Nagpur, demanding online examinations. They demonstrated at the home of Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad in Dharavi, Mumbai, after Hindustani Bhau posted a video of him on Instagram reportedly inciting students.

An FIR has been filed against the YouTuber under numerous sections of the IPC (including one for rioting), the Maharashtra Police Act, the Disaster Management Act, and the Maharashtra Prevention of Defacement of Property Act. According to the official, the police also detained Ikrar Khan Wakhar Khan (25) for his claimed participation in the students’ demonstration.

Following the demonstrations, it was revealed that he had invited the students to gather in the Dharavi slum. On Monday, a huge number of students gathered outside the minister’s residence, prompting police to use a minor baton charge to disperse them.

Pranay Ashok, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Zone V, stated on Monday that anyone guilty for provoking students will face legal punishment.
