No offence to Prince William and Kate Middleton, who have been accused of having ‘no charm’ at all.

The Caribbean tour of Prince William and Kate Middleton has been slammed by royal experts, who have dubbed it ‘lacklustre.’

In an interview with Chief Royal Correspondent Jack Royston and royal commentator Kristen Meinzer, royal biographer Omid Scobie claims that this is the case.

He called the Cambridges’ Caribbean tour a “missed opportunity” because of their “traditional format.”

“With a tour like this, you’re visiting former British colonies, countries with deep history when it comes to slavery that was mostly overseen by Britain, and the royal family at times,” he was quoted as saying in Newsweek.

“It’s impossible to embark on such a journey without feeling compelled to acknowledge it in some way,” he continued.

“I believe it was partly because this trip was to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee… in the process, [it] completely forgot about being respectful or mindful of the political climates in each country.”

“No one there to identify [the fence photographs] as potentially problematic,” he added. Because we know the couple was just trying to meet as many people as possible—there was nothing sinister behind those images—it was the thoughtlessness.”
