Iqra Aziz angry by the decision to ban the film ‘Javed Iqbal’

As we all know, the screening of ‘Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story of a Serial Killer,’ starring actor Yasir Hussain, was just suspended in Punjab, and Mrs. Hussain is evidently upset with the Punjab government’s decision.

The film, which is slated to have its national premiere today after being delayed for several months, has been released across the country except in Punjab.

Now, Iqra Aziz, the enraged actress and wife of Yasir Hussain, has taken to Instagram to ask why people can’t just accept that this truly happened in the 1990s.

PEMRA, according to Aziz, has not viewed Ted Bundy’s videos. Sarcastically, she poked fun at the regulating organisation. Ted Bundy, for those who don’t know, was a well-known serial murderer in the United States throughout the 1980s.

The film, a biography of Javed Iqbal — a serial murderer who murdered 100 boys in Lahore and furnished police with proof of his crimes in 1999 – is set to open in theatres across the country today. Abu Aleeha directed the film and also wrote the screenplay.

Javed Iqbal was meant to be released in October, but the premiere date was moved back to December 24 since it was still being certified by the censor boards. The film’s release was delayed again more because to an increase of Covid-19 instances. The release date has been moved to January 28.
