Deep Sidhu’s girlfriend Reena Rai captured the attention of netizens shortly after news of his death broke.

Deep Sidhu, a Punjabi actor turned activist, died on February 15, 2022, in a horrific car accident.

During the terrible accident, he was joined by his girlfriend Reena Rai, according to sources.

The incident happened near the Pipli toll plaza in Kharkhoda as the 37-year-old actor was travelling from Delhi to Punjab.

Deep’s Scorpio automobile collided with a truck on Haryana’s Kundli-Manesar-Palwal motorway near Sonipat.

Deep Sidhu was seriously injured in the crash, according to the police.

Reena Rai was on the car’s left side, which had sustained minor damage.

The airbag on Reena’s side deployed instantly after the crash, sparing her life.

“A female acquaintance who was with him was brought to a hospital where her condition was stable,” a police official added.

Images of Deep and his fiancée went popular on social media shortly after his death was announced on the internet.

Reena had posted a photo of herself and Deep on her Instagram Story the day before his death, as they celebrated Valentine’s Day together.

Reena Rai is a model and actress located in the United States, according to media sources.

In the Punjabi film Rang Punjab, she co-starred with Deep Sidhu. Reena also revealed the title of her future film, Desi, which would star the late actor.
Deep expressed his feelings for Reena on Instagram in 2021.

The late star remarked on a romantic photo he shared:

After learning of the actor’s death, Reena turned to Instagram and published a series of photographs along with an emotional letter.

The actress and model wrote:

“I’m broken, I’m dead within; please return to your soulmate, whom you pledged not to abandon in this lifetime.”

“I adore you, Jaan, my soul child, you are my heartbeat.” We were planned our future together, and now you’re gone.

“Soulmates don’t leave one other, and I’ll see you on the other side, Jaan.”

Deep Sidhu was detained after being suspected of being a part of a scheme to raise a Sikh flag at Red Fort on Republic Day.

Following his arrest in February 2021, police stated he meant to “cause violence and disregard our national flag.”

It also informed a Delhi court that Deep was “the principal rioter and instigator” of the Red Fort event, and that he was shown in a video carrying “swords, clubs, and flags.”

The judge, on the other hand, had given him bail in the case, stating that the prosecution had intended to make an example of him because he was popular.
