The teaser for Zara Noor Abbas’s drama series ‘Badshah Begum’ has been published.
Zara Noor Abbas will portray Jahan Ara in the drama, and Noor appears to be a merciless queen in the teaser. According to the trailer, the entire ambiance, jewellery, and costumes suggest that the protagonists are from a royal dynasty, and the drama Badshah Begum appears to be about politics and power.
Zara Noor Abbas also informed her admirers of the news and posted a preview on Instagram with the caption:
Hum aurtain kisi ki jageer naheen, keh hum per shartain aur baaziaan lagayee jayein [We women are not someones property that we have conditions attached and people betting on us].
Honour is always associated with a woman and its always a woman who has to sacrifice. Maybe thats why this throne needs only a woman,
she said in the clip.
Designer Munib Nawaz and actress Parisheh James both commented on the post in an attempt to hype up Abbas. Saji Gul, the show’s creator, too reacted, stating, “Wow Zara astonished myself” to watch his screenplay in action.
Zara Noor Abbas was most recently seen in the film ‘Phaans.’ The drama revolves around the narrative of a rape victim and her fight for justice.
