On social media, the 22-year-old Spinning Out star posted a picture of herself in a bikini and told her followers she was being blackmailed and had decided to reclaim control from her captors.
Willow Shields shared the picture and wrote, “I’m being blackmailed and extorted for nud**e photos of myself, something private that was never meant to be shared with the entire world.
I reclaim the initiative and give it to you first.
“This is the picture they threatened to send to my family, friends, and the internet in an email, along with a warning. They say they have a lot more “less tame” pictures of me to use against me.
“I will not give anyone power over me, and I will not allow someone else to make decisions about my own body.”
Willow Shields continued by claiming that the police were already aware of the blackmailer’s activities.
She continued, “I have already reported this individual and case to the FBI, and I sincerely hope they take the investigation seriously and carry out this crime.
I’m also sharing this because I’m aware of how many other people are negatively impacted daily by nud*e viral and revenge p**orn, which are both carried out by hackers and criminals in an effort to weaken the body and the mind, both of which are extremely vulnerable. I am aware of it and regret that it exists.
This is my body, and I’ll share it with whoever I want. I won’t tolerate any slut shaming.
