Huma Qureshi, an Indian actress, has spoken out about collaborating with renowned Hollywood director Zack Synder on a film, and she intends to work on one project overseas each year.
In 2021, Huma Qureshi will star in the big-budget zombie thriller ‘Army of the Dead,’ as well as the political drama series Maharani. While Huma played the lead in Maharani, she was a supporting character in Zack Snyder’s ‘Army of the Dead.’
“I’ve always wanted to collaborate with talented filmmakers.” As a result, it makes no difference where they are from. I’d like to be a part of some fascinating stories. Working with Zack Snyder was an incredible experience for me. His art has always piqued my interest. “I’m hoping to undertake at least one project overseas per year,” she stated in an interview.
The actress will appear in the action flick ‘Valimai,’ which is set to be released on February 24. Huma Qureshi also talked about her next online series Mithya, a psychological thriller. Huma plays a teacher with grey tones in the Rohan Sippy-directed film.
“Life is tough and difficult. Because life is so full of grey, it is tedious to perceive things as good or evil or right or wrong as an audience. And I’m overjoyed that it’s beginning to appear in our writings and tales now. Every character or subject is now so complex and detailed that an actor has so much to accomplish.”
“Previously, there were established patterns of what women should and should not do. You were either a vamp or a person who waited to be saved. You were crammed into these compartments. “But I believed it was necessary to break out of those confines and produce something that was new, intriguing, and unusual,” Huma explained as to why she ends up playing complex characters.
The thrill of being an actor, according to Huma, is finding jobs that challenge her. “I’ve refused to be put in a box every time someone tried to put me in one.” That’s not who I am. I’m constantly looking for new methods to try new things. “I’ve been looking for (new) roles and avoiding repeating myself since the first day of being an actor,” Huma remarked, adding that every time she is given a similar part or screenplay, she declines.
Huma attributes her success and the fact that she is headlining gigs as a solo lead to her hard work. “Today, when a project is built up around me, I feel proud because it is an accomplishment since I came from nowhere to be here.” In that way, I believe that if you keep working hard, this profession will reward you,” the actress said.
