The recently released short film — Acid Crimes — aims to inform viewers on what constitutes an acid crime and its various forms, specifically with the intent of harming another human being. The 3-minute video discusses punishments for convicted offenders, illegal usage and sale of acid and other corrosive chemicals. It also highlights how these are punishable crimes with laws in the Pakistani legal system, including a sentence of 14 years in jail, life imprisonment, one million rupee fine or all of the above.
