Gully Boy’s trailer announcement had given us major 8 Mile vibes and now the trailer gives us something more.
Zoya Akhtar’s latest film has Ranveer Singh playing a rapper and also stars Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechlin in prominent roles.

Based on the life of underground rappers from Mumbai – Divine and Naezy (Naved Shaikh), the trailer shows Ranveer Singh as a man who is cynical of rap until he views a performance and is inspired to pursue it. From what we see, the movie will likely touch upon a man expressing himself through words.
We’re more fascinated with Alia Bhatt’s character and were amused the moment she clapped back at a lady who asked her if she can cook. Bhatt has a very spunky personality and we’re curious to see her arc in the film.
Gully Boy is slated for release February 14.
