PDM March and PTI Jalsa Traffic Plan Updates in Islamabad

The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has released a detailed traffic plan update for the JUI-F, PDM, and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Long March and Jalsa at the parade ground and Itwar Bazar from March 25 to March 27, 2022. The Islamabad Police Department shared the traffic plan on Twitter so that people can avoid traffic jams and plan their journeys accordingly.

According to an update to the Islamabad traffic plan, the Red Zone will be closed to all types of traffic from March 25 to March 28, and all routes leading to the Red Zone, including D-Chowk, Serena Chowk, NADRA Chowk, Express Chowk, and Ayub Chowk, will remain closed to traffic. People are advised to take alternate routes.

Traffic will not be allowed to enter the Red Zone from Kashmir Chowk Roundabout to Rawal Dam Chowk, according to the Islamabad Police. Commuters are advised to use Margallah Hills as an entry and exit point from the Red Zone.

Furthermore, Murree Road, from Rawal Dam Chowk to Faizabad Flyover, will be closed on both sides, and commuters are advised to take alternate routes.

Routes You Might Take

Incoming traffic from Lahore will be routed through Rawat T Cross, Saddar Road, GT Road, and the Motorway, according to the Islamabad traffic plan.

Commuters can reach Murree via Old Airport, Murree Road, Sector G, and Kashmir Chowk, while those heading to Airport and Rawat should take Ninth Avenue and Express Way.

The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islami Fazl (JUI-F) and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have received NOCs from the local administration to hold their Long March and Jalsa in Islamabad from March 25 to 27, 2022.
