LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has fired CPO and AC Murree, as well as the Deputy Commissioner and CTO Rawalpindi, following the completion of the Murree Incident inquiry report.

During the news conference, the CM noted, “The Muree event was a major tragedy.” The investigation report exposes incompetence and flaws. Action is being taken against 15 officers based on the committee’s findings,” he said, adding, “I have told the country that I will take action against those involved for the Murree disaster.” I kept my pledge to the people.”

“CPO and AC Murree have been dismissed. Deputy Commissioner, CTO Rawalpindi were also removed from office,” said Mr. Buzdar.

After a snowfall hit the hill station, at least 22 visitors, including children and women, perished in their automobiles on the snow-covered roads.

Following the event, the Punjab government created a five-member commission led by Additional Chief Secretary Home Zafar Nasarullah to determine who was guilty. Last week, the committee delivered its findings to CM Buzdar, and action was done as a result.
