Former Pakistani lawmaker and leader of the Awami Raj Party Jamshed Dasti recently got married, and photos of the event are going viral on social media.
Last week was Dasti’s Barat ceremony; Dasti frequently advocates for the common man’s access to justice.
In the viral photo, Dasti is dressed traditionally and sporting a turban, while his bride is wearing a red bridal gown and opulent jewellery.
The leader of the Awami Raj party announced to a local media outlet that his walima ceremony will take place in October of this year and that he plans to serve guests Daal, a South Asian dish, in light of impending inflation.
The PTI Chairman Imran Khan reportedly asked the former lawmaker to join his party during a recent meeting with the former lawmaker.
In the fake degree case, Jamshed Dasti was sentenced to three years in prison and fined Rs 5000 in 2013.

The Daily Pakistan claims that Jamshed was married to a Peshawar-born woman.
She is from the Mohmand’s Tribe, though her identity isn’t really known.
When the PTI officials departed, Jamshed declared that he would step in.

The couple will depart in March 2022 while still married. His wife, he claimed, graduated from Gomal University with a BS in Biochemistry.
