Katy Perry lit up the night in suffragette white.
To close out the “Celebrating America” special honoring President Joe Biden’s inauguration, the 36-year-old pop star sang her hit “Firework” in an all-white Thom Browne ensemble.
Her elegant look included a cape, corset and floor-length skirt dotted with dainty red and blue buttons as a nod to the American flag.
The singer, who performed in front of a literal fireworks display, accessorized with Jimmy Choo pumps and heart-shaped diamond earrings from Rahaminov Diamonds.
Though Perry’s look was surprisingly minimalistic for a star who’s donned hamburger, chandelier and hand sanitizer costumes in the past, she brought her signature over-the-top style to the performance with a series of bedazzled microphones.
And the “Daisies” hitmaker wasn’t the only pop superstar sporting suffragette white for the inauguration of the first female vice president, as Jennifer Lopez performed earlier in the day in an all-white Chanel look.
While Lady Gaga also wore white for her arrival at the Capital, she changed into a red and navy Schiaparelli Haute Couture outfit with a giant dove brooch to sing the National Anthem, sparking “Hunger Games” comparisons.
