Shahbaz Gill, a senior PTI figure and the party’s chairman, was detained for inciting the populace against the state’s institutions, the Islamabad police said in a statement on Tuesday.

“Shahbaz Gill has been arrested for making statements against the state institutions and inciting the people to rebellion,” the spokesperson stated.

According to the spokesperson, the PTI leader has a case filed against him at the Banigala Police Station. A clause about inciting people against state institutions and their leaders was added to the FIR along with other charges.

It is important to note that the PTI leader had earlier attempted to incite animosity within the Pakistan Army while speaking on ARY News.

In addition to hurling threats at senior bureaucrats, Gill had been using derogatory language toward the journalists. The PTI leader had engaged in personal attacks and made crude remarks about his political rivals.

“This is not an arrest, but an abduction.”

The arrest of Gill has been referred to as an “abduction” by PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

The PTI leader was allegedly tortured and dragged out of the car, according to the video statement of Gill’s driver, which Imran Khan shared.

This is not an arrest, but rather an abduction. Can any democracy allow such despicable behavior? treated as enemies: political workers. And everything was done to persuade us to support a corrupt government that was backed by foreign nations.

PTI demanded the immediate release of the party leader and posted a video of Gill’s car with broken glasses.

The second time in recent months that Gill has been arrested is today.

On July 17, the Punjab police detained Shahbaz Gill in Muzaffargarh for allegedly going to various polling places during the city’s by-elections with security guards who were posing as FC members.

Gill, on the other hand, denied the claims that he kept any security guards in FC official garb and asserted that he had been working for three hours before being unexpectedly detained without a warrant.

Murad Saeed, a former federal minister, and PTI leader tweeted a confirmation of the news.

Fawad Chaudhry claimed in an interview with ARY News that he was taken into custody by staff members wearing business attire and tortured at Bani Gala Chowk.

Fawad Chaudhry claimed that he was dragged out of the car and that they do not know who arrested his party member or what the charges will be.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah had previously been threatened with arrest by Dr. Shahbaz Gill, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and a former SAPM official if he failed to appear before a committee looking into cases of torture involving Azadi March participants.
