Former National Assembly deputy speaker Qasim Suri was assaulted in a restaurant in Islamabad’s Kohsar area by what appeared to be Jamhori Watan Party workers.
Suri claimed that he and his friends were eating Sehri at a restaurant when a group of unknown people attacked them. He claimed that there were women among those sitting around.
According to a former deputy speaker, this is a corrupt government – government goons – that has arrived after accepting US slavery. They planned to commit hooliganism and misbehave with restaurant patrons, but the public’s reaction forced them to flee, according to him.
Suri’s attack comes just hours after Pakistani pilgrims at Masjid-e-Nabawi on Thursday hacked Federal Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb and Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Shahzain Bugti.
JWP’s only MNA is Bugti. In NA-259 Dera Bugti, he was elected.
An elderly man was assaulted at a private hotel in Islamabad earlier this month by PTI dissident Noor Alam Khan and PPP’s Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar.
Noor Alam was at an Iftar party with PPP leaders Nadeem Afzal Chan, Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, and Faisal Karim Kundi when an elderly man insulted the dissident PTI member.
According to Abbas Shabbir of SAMAA TV, the elderly man verbally abused the politicians and accused them of “selling votes,” sparking a heated exchange.
The politicians became enraged and attacked the elderly man. Khokhar, on the other hand, claims that the man, who is said to be a PTI employee, struck Noor Alam with a glass first.
