The Jamia Masjid of Kocha Risaldar area in Qissa Khawani Bazaar Peshawar has released CCTV footage of a terrible blast.
According to reports, a suicide bomber detonated a device during Friday prayers at the mosque, killing 30 people and injuring many more.
People can be seen arriving for Friday prayers at the Jamia Masjid on CCTV footage. Outside the mosque, an assailant started fire. Black clothing was worn by the assailant.
The bomb was a suicide, according to SSP Operations, and a police search and strike operation is ongoing, as well as a cordoning off of the area. The bomber detonated his device in front of a police station in the early afternoon, killing two officers and injuring three more. The attackers of the attack have not yet been identified.
According to the CCPO, two gunmen opened fire on police officers on duty at Kocha Risaldar near Qissa Khawani Bazaar while attempting to enter the Jamia Masjid. A large explosion occurred at the Jamia Masjid following the attack on the police squad, injuring and killing multiple people.
On Friday, the death toll from the deadly bombing inside a mosque in Peshawar’s Kocha Risaldar district climbed to 56, with another 194 people injured.
