Afghan candidate’s three guards killed in raid

KABUL: An Afghan official says safety forces killed three bodyguards of a parliamentary candidate all through a raid on a home close to his residence within the jap Kunar province.

Abdul Ghani Musamem, a spokesman for the provincial governor, says two suspects had been arrested by way of the raid late on Sunday.

The house targeted inside the raid was near-the residence WhoAtallah Safi, Who’s working as an neutral candidate in parliamentary elections scheduled for Oct 20. Safi was unharmed.
